ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas said Manny Pacquiao’s win against Joshua Clottey may have shown Floyd Mayweather Jr. a way to beat the Filipino if the two ever face each other.
“Pacquiao was a little bit more banged up than you would’ve thought you’d see in a guy who dominated the fight,” said Atlas in a report posted at fighthype.com.

Atlas believes that Pacquiao, who is known for his superb offense, has some kinks to his defense and if Mayweatherf Jr. capitalizes on it, he would have a chance at beating the 31-year-old pound-for-pound king.
“I saw Clottey throw a couple of uppercuts. I saw him throw seven and he landed seven uppercuts really clean. Nothing else in between. Other than that, he threw maybe one punch every six months. But when he threw those seven uppercuts, again, they had no problem landing Pacquiao,” Atlas said.
