MAYBANK Philippines, the foreign commercial bank with the most number of branches in the country, will inaugurate its Cebu Business Center today in Ayala Center Cebu.

The Maybank Cebu Business Center is a full-service branch in a 431-square meter complex that will house its Cebu Auto Lending Center, VisMin Personal Loans and Maxi Home Loan Desk, and VisMin Commercial Banking Office. The center is positioned as a one-stop shop financial services hub.

The bank said that the Cebu Business Center is a relocation and expansion of the Maybank Cebu Branch located on Osmeña Blvd.

“The business center is envisioned to provide convenience for customers at a central location that is accessible,” said Maybank president and chief executive officer Amos Ong.

The Maybank experience is what differentiates us in the market and we want to bring this to more customer touch points in our branch network,” he said.

Since 1997, Maybank has strengthened its operations in the Philippines “by innovating better banking products and by always putting our customers first.”

The newly-opened Maybank Cebu Business Center will complement banking operations of its existing Mandaue branch, the first among five new branches opened in 2010. Maybank now has 51 branches nationwide.

Maybank Philippines is a member of the Maybank Group, Malaysia’s leading financial services provider. It has $135 billion in group assets and $22 billion in market capitalization. It is present in 17 countries worldwide, serving more than 21 million customers globally. (PR)
