NetSuite considers the partnership as something that “strongly supports” their indirect sales strategy in the Philippines, which has traditionally been best served by local IT partners.
They said the increasing demand for cloud solutions in the Philippines has driven the growth of NetSuite’s partner network here.
The company believes this strategy of partnering with local firms with “significant” domain experience is the right thing for the Philippines, as they noticed a 30 percent growth in customer base in 2011.
GlobalOne will be implementing NetSuite’s services for telecommunications and utilities while Pan Pacific will introduce NetSuite services to enterprises in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, retail and real estate companies. This includes managing the implementation of NetSuite for the Yuchengco Group of Companies, which has 11 subsidiaries.
“GlobalOne’s deep cloud computing roots and PPCC’s decades of IT experience make them ideally suited to become NetSuite business partners, and the current global business environment makes this a strategic time to combine our expertise in transforming the face if enterprise computing,” said James Dantow, NetSuite Philippines general manager.
A recent Gartner study named NetSuite as one of the fastest growing financial management systems vendors in the world.
ERP partnership
The company also announced that it has partnered with Google to bring cloud ERP (enterprise resource planning) to Google Chromebook, a mobile device designed for those who live on the web.
Zach Nelson, NetSuite president and chief executive officer, said in a recent trip to Manila that the partnership of NetSuite and Google was only fitting, as both are designed for the cloud, as NetSuite was built to deliver enterprise applications with convenience and easy integration of the cloud while the Chromebooks are built for powerful cloud applications.
Nelson said he is most proud of their Manila office, which handles professional services, marketing, search engine optimization, website management, sales and product development.
In the Philippines, they have 500 employees and Nelson said they consider their Makati office a major service hub. He said this is because the Philippines has business-friendly infrastructure, “top-notch” education system and similar accounting standards with the US. Nelson said they could find a large pool of certified public accountants here and employees were well-spoken and driven. Another reason is that many global companies are headquartered in Manila.
He congratulated the local NetSuite team for recently winning the technology prize at the Asia CEO awards.
