AboitizLand to build mid-rise condo

ABOITIZLAND Inc. is spending P730 million to build the 16-storey mid-rise condominium The Persimmon Studios, the third and last condo tower to be built inside The Persimmon, the company’s first urban village in Cebu.

According to AboitizLand assistant vice president for sales and marketing Audie Villa they will be offering affordable fully-furnished studio units.

The Persimmon Studios, which sits on a 4,434 lot area, will have 632 studio units with various sizes: 18.69 square meters (208 units); 24.50 sqm (350 units); and 26.41 sqm (64 units). The company has also alloted special units with sizes ranging from 32.50 to 45.50 sq.ms.

All units of The Persimmon Studios will have a bedroom, toilet and bath, kitchen, dining and living areas. Buyers also have the option of combining two or more units to create more space.

Prices of studio units range from P1.9 million to P5 million. The company said buyers may opt to pay for the units “for as low as P7,888 per month” with several financing options.

“We are targeting those investors who want to make this project as a source of additional income through rental and/or buy and sell or the end-users particularly those students from the provinces, young professionals and overseas Filipino workers who want to have a home in Cebu,” Villa said.

He said the company also took the initiative of providing all the necessary home requirements such as complete dining and living sets as well as appliances like refrigerators, air-conditioners, flat screen LCD TV sets and electric stoves with range hood. Each unit also has wardrobe cabinets and single/twin beds.

AboitizLand will begin the construction of The Persimmon Studios in the third quarter of 2013 and projected its completion by the third quarter of 2015.

Villa said they already started its pre-selling and as of yesterday, 50 units have been sold.

The Persimmon Studios will be launched next week. The company will be holding a week-long launching including an investment management forum on July 11.

“This is an exciting year for the company as we begin to complete The Persimmon, our first urban village here. AboitizLand still has two more projects to launch this year,” said AboitizLand senior vice president for operations Pia Mantecon.
