RESPONDING to the growing demand for mobile browsing in the country, Globe Telecom has launched a new offer for its postpaid subscribers on unlimited surfing plans.
This offer is ideal for subscribers who want to get an additional data plan for a family member or for another Internet-enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet.
The Globe Discounted Extension Data Plan is available to postpaid subscribers on UnliSurf 999, UnliSurf 1799, UnliSurf 2499 and UnliSurf 3799. Eligible subscribers may choose from Plan 299 with 1 GB of data or Plan 599 with 3 GB of data, depending on their mobile surfing needs. Both plans may be availed with a free handset or on a line-only basis.
With the Globe Discounted Extension Data Plan, postpaid subscribers get as much as 40 percent on the second postpaid line, since a regular 1 GB data plan costs P499 a month.
Once data allocation is consumed, subscribers will receive a text notification and can opt to continue surfing at P0.15/KB for KB-based browsing or P5 per 15 minutes for time-based browsing, without having to worry about billshock with the Globe No Bill
Shock Guarantee, ensuring data charges will not go beyond P999.
Subscribers on extended lines can boost their data plans with unlimited call and text services starting at P349 monthly, since calls and texts are charged on top of the monthly service fee. Handsets are also available such as Samsung Timber, Huawei Y100, Nokia Asha 201, Nokia Asha 205 and Huawei Y210 all free at Plan 599. These devices are also offered at minimum cashout under Plan 299.
“Over the past two years, we have seen how data has overtaken calls and texts in the way people connect with each other. From social networking, instant messaging, to mobile apps, there is indeed a steady rise in the use of data on mobile to get instant connection to the World Wide Web,” said Martha Sazon, Head of Globe Postpaid.
