THE McDonald’s chain will celebrate National Breakfast Day on Monday, March 18, their first simultaneous activity in Asia, Middle East and South Africa.
About 5,000 McDonald’s outlets in over 30 countries in these regions will participate.
Of the 380 Philippine outlets, about 300 are participants, including 10 of 12
locations in Cebu. These include their branches in Colon South, Escario, Osmeña Blvd., Mactan, North Reclamation, South Road and Colon-Osmeña.
An estimated five million McMuffins will be served for free on that day. The product costs P59.
In the Philippines, an estimated 300,000 pieces will be given away to the first 1,000 customers from 5 to 9 a.m. on Monday in McDonald’s outlets that serve breakfast.
“This effort is in sync with McDonald’s thrust to deliver value for money, to provide quality food at affordable prices,” said McDonald’s Philippines PR and communications manager Meryl Adiel Timbol at a press conference yesterday.
