SMART Communications, Inc. (Smart) has launched an iOS version of its Smart Services mobile application - the app that allows its subscribers to buy call, text and Internet packages, get information and content and perform transactions with just a few taps on their smartphones.
The Smart Services app, downloadable for free from iTunes App Store, can now be used by Smart’s iPhone and iPad users to have quick and convenient access to their prepaid or postpaid account’s various services.
“Mobile apps have revolutionized how consumers around the world access services, information and content,” said Noel Lorenzana, Smart’s executive vice president and head of the wireless consumer division. “We at Smart have been actively developing apps like the Smart Services app for iOS to make our subscribers’ lives easier and their user experience, better.”
One key functionality of the Smart Services app for iOS is the instant access to all call, text, and Internet packages available to Smart’s prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
Using the app, subscribers can see details of all the current offers – text, call or data allocations, costs and validity period – and can choose from all these packages based on their needs.
To subscribe or register to the selected package, subscribers only need to tap a button, confirm the action and they are instantly subscribed to the offer without having to memorize keywords and access codes. Cost of the offer will be deducted from prepaid load or will be charged to the postpaid plan.
Aside from registering to call, text and data packages, the Smart Services app for iOS also allows users to easily check account balance, activate or deactivate international roaming and activate MMS and mobile Internet, inquire about rewards points, and send credits to family and friends via PasaLoad, and subscribe to value-added services like caller ringtunes, without manually sending commands via SMS.
“The Smart Services app for iOS also provides access to quick customer support,” added Lorenzana. “With this app, users can inquire about products and services via Ask Smart, locate the nearest Smart Store and retrieve basic troubleshooting guides.” (PR)
