Monterrazas to build mountainside clubhouse-A A +A

MONTERRAZAS de Cebu on Saturday announced The Verandas, the clubhouse of its high-end mountainside residential development The Peaks.
Genvi Development Corp., the developer of the township in Barangay Guadalupe, held an event at the site of clubhouse to show clients the panoramic view of the place.
Genvi Development Corp. president and chief executive officer Dindo Antonio Perez said The Peaks and the first phase of its development The Northridge cover about 53 hectares of development. He said it is just a small portion of the property’s total land area of 210 hectares, which has expanded by 10 more hectares through acquisitions and partnership.
Perez said The Verandas will have three buildings that will hug the mountain and not obstruct the panoramic view of Metro Cebu. It will house various amenities and facilities, including a restaurant and pool. Perez said they expect to finish the project, which will cost P80 million, in July 2014.
The Peaks is 350 meters above sea level and divided into three areas, Peak 1, Peak 2 and Peak 3. The Verandas will be built on a 1,200 square-meter lot in Peak 1.
Perez said they are developing the township to be a “self-sustaining” community with a mix of residential, commercial and institutional buildings. They are looking into having schools and hospitals built in the township.
Monterrazas also unveiled last week its residential communities Midpoint Residences and Northridge residences. Before these projects, the developer only sold lots.
Perez said sales for Monterrazas propertoes have a “very good take-up,” with Chinese-Filipino traders accounting for majority of buyers.
Genvi Development Corp. sales in-house head Elfie Recentes said 90 percent of the lots in Northridge are already sold out. The Peaks, on the other hand, are 70 percent sold.
The package price for Northridge is P5 million to P6 million while those at The Peaks are priced at P9 million to P10 million, said Perez.
Perez reported that Monterrazas will be having 10 phases in its development. He said the whole development will be finished in 10 to 15 years.
Monterrazas is a cluster of eight hills “panoramically oriented to the east,” Perez said. Monterrazas was nominated the best residential development in Cebu in this year’s Philippine Property Awards.
