THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will hold another round of seminars on Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) in Cebu City today to encourage investors in the Visayas to consider investing in ETFs, one of the investment products that will soon be launched at the PSE.
Aside from special sessions like the ETF seminar, the PSE office in Cebu welcomes inquiries about stock market investing from prospective investors and holds company visits for stock market orientation.
“We are highly encouraged by the investor interest and turnout in our stock market seminars in Cebu. Given the huge potential for investor growth in the Visayas in general, we will continue to strengthen and support the market awareness campaign in the region,” said PSE president and CEO Hans Sicat.
Last August, the PSE also signed a memorandum of agreement with the University of San Carlos Cebu for the school to run the Certified Securities Specialist Course. The first Securities Specialist class in USC is scheduled set to open today.
The PSE’s Cebu information office is located at the 2nd Floor of the Insular Life Cebu Business Center on Mindanao Ave. corner Biliran Road in Cebu Business Park. It also serves as office to four brokerage firms namely AB Capital Securities Inc., HDI Securities Inc., PCCI Securities Brokers Corp., and Unicapital Securities Inc.
