TO SUPPORT more Filipino entrepreneurs in 2014, Globe Telecom said it will offer a series of programs to answer the needs of micro and small business owners.
Globe Business, the business solutions arm of Globe Telecom, launched last Dec. 11 the pilot run of Globe MyNegoSolutions in Danao City, where it brought its postpaid plans, business loop plans, and budget plans directly to the residents, particularly retailers and other small and micro entrepreneurs.
Globe Business marketing services head Kaths Laudit said Danao was chosen as the first location for the five-day MyNegoSolutions program since there is no Globe store in the city and it has a thriving entrepreneurial environment.
“We need to help them in order for them to grow,” Laudit said.
The Globe Business team promoted unlimited surfing plans to entrepreneurs during the program. “In business, you have to be always connected. You have to be mobile,” shared Laudit.
Wil-R Saldua, Globe Small and Medium Business Group head for Stores Channel, said micro entrepreneurs have to be informed that they can leverage their business on the web.
“We have to inform them that there’s just more to telcos than call and text,” he said.
Saldua added that there’s no available data yet on the communication behavior and consumption patterns of Filipino micro entrepreneurs, which is part of the reason Globe Telecom is reaching out to them.
Globe Business regional sales head Christopher Lañas said they’ve observed a steady shift from calls and texts, to surfing, as smartphones become more pervasive. “More people are becoming particular with unlimited data. Our bundle offers are now equipped with unlimited surfing,” he said.
Starting early next year, Globe MyNegoSolutions will run nationwide, along with a series of events intended for micro and small Filipino entrepreneurs.
