E-Mall launches Service Lane-A A +A

THE Elizabeth Mall or E-Mall in Cebu City is undergoing “rezoning” as it anticipates three of the country’s biggest fast food chains to open there in the second quarter of the year.
Yesterday, officials and some tenants of E-mall launched its Service Lane at the third level of the mall, beside the food court.
Eighteen service stores originally located in the West side of the ground floor were transferred to the Service Lane.
E-mall marketing and events coordinator Ivy Cindy Marie Abella told reporters yesterday the transfer of the services stores will pave way to the opening of the fast food chains, one of which is Jollibee.
The fast food chain is set to begin the construction of its E-mall branch next month.
Abella did not disclose the name of the two other fast food shops since the start of their construction has not been announced yet. But she said the three fast food chains will open within the year.
For the Service Lane, the official said the transfer is also a way to merge all the services stores in one floor. Its location beside the food court will now be convenient for customers, because they can now have refreshments while waiting to be served.
She said the Service Lane is ideal for university students who are getting their allowances in money remittances center. The lane’s tenants include MLhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, LBC and Western Union Money Transfer.
Since the mall was opened in 2003, the area which the Service Lane now sits served as the mall’s activity center, which was then converted into a play area. The Service Lane occupies almost half of the mall’s third level.
“We want E-mall to be a one-stop shop,” Abella said.
