CEBU Holdings, Inc. (CHI) will release today its 2013 Integrated Annual and Sustainability Report, the first Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) - G4 Guidelines compliant report in the country.

GRI is a leading international organization in the field of sustainability. It pioneered and developed comprehensive sustainability reporting which comprise economic, environmental and social impacts.

G4 is the fourth generation of Guidelines launched by GRI in May 2013. The latest guideline emphasizes the concept of materiality and encourages organizations to report only disclosures and indicators that are material to the business.

CHI completed the GRI ‘Materiality Matters’ Check prior to publishing its 2013 Integrated Annual and Sustainability Report. The report covering its business operations in Cebu aims to strengthen the company’s transparency and accountability commitments to its various stakeholders.

With sustainability at the core of CHI’s strategy, the GRI certification also reinforces the company’s thrust to optimize its operations based on a “triple bottom-line approach.”

CHI based its Integrated Annual and Sustainability Report on GRI guidelines since 2007. The company is also a GRI Organizational Stakeholder since 2010. (PR)
