-A A +AMonday, December 27, 2010
TALK ‘N Text has partnered with entrepreneurship advocate Go Negosyo to launch “Go Negosyante ng Bayan,” a nationwide search for outstanding small and micro-entrepreneurs.
“Go Negosyante ng Bayan” aims to identify and recognize outstanding small and micro entrepreneurs that founded original and innovative businesses, enabling others and benefiting their communities.
“Talk ‘N Text believes in the ingenuity, perseverance, and hard work of Filipinos,” said Perry Bayani, head of marketing at Talk ‘N Text, a unit of wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart). “Unknown to many, there are a lot of novel and relevant products and services in the market that were invented by Filipino entrepreneurs. Through the Go Negosyante ng Bayan search, Talk ‘N Text will acknowledge and honor these promising Filipino entrepreneurs.”
Regional winners
Talk ‘N Text and Go Negosyo will be selecting 20 Go Negosyante ng Bayan regional winners: four individuals each from North Luzon, National Capital Region, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The winners will receive a seed money of P25,000, free business mentoring by Go Negosyo business experts, and Talk ‘N Text business kits— a set consisting of a Talk ‘N Text Barangay Phone and retailer materials.
Of the four representatives from each region, the entrepreneur with the highest points will represent his or her region and compete in the grand “Go Negosyante ng Bayan Diskarte Challenge.”
The “Go Negosyante ng Bayan Diskarte Challenge” is a three-day activity that will test the candidates’ leadership and organizational skills (Negosyo Ko! Diskarte Ko!
challenge on day one); product development skills (Negosyo in Aksyon! challenge on day two); and sales and marketing aptitude (Go Negosyo! challenge on day three).
Challenge
In the “Go Negosyante ng Bayan Diskarte Challenge,” the final five contestants will be required to set up a business and run it through the course of the three-day challenge. The five finalists will need to use all the resources that will be given to them -- for a chance to receive the grand prize – a financial grant of P250,000.
Small and micro entrepreneurs who are interested to join the search for “Go Negosyante ng Bayan” can fill up the application form, which can be obtained from any Smart Experience Center or downloaded from www.tipidsulitpinas.com and www.gonegosyo.net and send this to P.O.
