Telco launches search for best entrepreneur

TALK ‘N TEXT has part-nered with entrepreneurship advocate Go Negosyo to launch Go Negosyante ng Bayan, a nationwide search for outstanding small and micro-entrepreneurs.
Go Negosyante ng Ba-yan aims to identify and recognize outstanding small and micro entrepreneurs that founded original and innovative businesses, enabling others and benefiting their communities.

“Talk ‘N Text believes in the ingenuity, perseverance, and hard work of Filipinos,” said Perry Bayani, head of marketing at Talk ‘N Text, a unit of wireless services provider Smart Communications Inc.
Talk ‘N Text and Go Negosyo will be selecting a total of 20 Go Negos-yante ng Bayan regional winners, four individuals each from North Luzon, National Capital Region, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The winners will receive seed money of P25,000, free business mentoring by Go Negosyo business experts, and Talk ‘N Text business kits.
Regional winners will compete in the grand Go Negosyante ng Bayan Diskarte Challenge.
Any individual or group that has a registered business is entitled to join the contest. They just need to fill out the application form that can be obtained from Smart Experience Centers or downloaded from www. tipidsulitpinas.com and www.gonegosyo.net and send to P.O. Box 1311 Philippine Postal Corp., Central Post Office, Manila, Philippines. There are also drop boxes in Smart Wireless Centers nationwide.
Deadlines of submission of entries for the elimination round is on Feb. 2, 2011 (first batch) and on March 3, 2011 (second batch). (PR)
