THE defending champions Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Baby Wildkittens erased an early 12 point deficit to beat the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars, 63-59, in the 2010 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. high school basketball match yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.
The University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters meanwhile secured the No.3 spot following an 80-65 victory over the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Baby Panthers in the opening match.

Alvin Labo-Labo Jr. scored 27 points and Jerick Gel Yburan added 14 for UC while Joshua Corcilles scored 27 markers and Rommel Diapera finished with 21 for USPF.
In the first game, the Baby Jaguars got to an early 12-0 lead before CIT-U retaliated with Clyvin Lima-Lima scoring six of his 12 points to even the count at 12-all.
USJ-R regained the leadin the second half but the Wildkittens rallied behind John Anthony Lucena to stay in contention.
Lucena topscored for CIT-U with 17, while Marc Juneil Neri and Lima-Lima had 14 and 12 , respectively.
