AS CEBU’s running community gets busy for the 34th Milo Marathon, Cebu’s queen of road races, Mary Grace Delos Santos, is taking it easy and is even contemplating joining another race scheduled later that day, the Val2020-Naga Charter Day Run, a sundown run at the Baywalk of Naga.
Delos Santos need not join the Cebu leg after winning the GenSan leg last month. With that, she already earned a slot in the national Milo Marathon.

The afternoon run in Naga expects to draw more than 300 runners after it attracted over 150 runners last year and delos Santos is thinking about running in the 10K.
“I am still contemplating if I am going to race this Sunday. If I will push through, this will be my second afternoon experience, it would be a different one,” Delos Santos said.
She added running in the afternoon is different from the morning races.
“I am not used to afternoon races. However, this race will serve as a challenge,” Delos Santos said.
The run features a 10K open for men and women, 5K run men and women, another 5K for the media division and a 3K run for kids.
The run aims to strengthen sports tourism in the south and the proceeds will go to the Naga Emergency Assistance Team (Neat).
