A REAL estate developer is targeting newly-wed couples, small families and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for its new project in Liloan, Cebu.

Lopzcom Realty Corp. completed 20 two-story duplex units on a one-hectare property called Residences (at) Northroad. The project was launched yesterday.

Lopzcom Realty vice president Gari Tiongco II said four units have been sold to young couples, OFWs, and foreigners married to Filipinos.

The units are ready for occupancy. When fully furnished, a unit comes with a price tag of P2.3 million while those with furnishings are priced at P2 million each.

“We have here a closely-knit and gated community, easy to maintain units and infestation-proof. (It is also) strategically located since Residences at North-road is near the city,” Tiongco said.

He added that being a “small” developer, Lopzcom invested first in putting up the units to attract buyers. The construction of the houses started a year and a half ago.

A two-story duplex at Residences at Northroad has a land area of 77 square meters. A unit houses a living area, dining space, kitchen, three bedrooms, two toilets and baths, carport, service area, and balcony.

The units are available through Pag-ibig, bank loan or in-house financing.

Residences at North-road is also eyeing potential buyers who are security-conscious and those who belong to the middle-income bracket.

Tiongco said the whole community at Residences at Northroad will be delivered in two years. By then, the subdivision will also feature single-detached house-and-lot units and facilities, like swimming pool, playground and community center.

In the past 10 years, Lopzcom Realty Corp. has developed four residential projects in Davao, and Consolacion and Liloan, Cebu. It built 40-hectare high-end subdivision in Davao and memorial park in Manila.

Tiongco said that the company is looking for potential sites for future residential projects in Consolacion and Liloan, Cebu where there are only a few subdivisions in existence.
