Costanilla: Singing to raise funds

Sunday, July 16, 2017

SHOWS. The Cebu Clergy Performing Artists (CCPA) continues to prove to one and all that singing and dancing are their way of helping groups raise funds for good or noble causes. The four priests that comprise the CCPA have been doing this for 15 years now.

INVITATIONS. Fathers Joselito Gutierrez, Kipling Agravante, Rudy Ibali and Zacky Zacarias are getting invitations left and right to perform here and abroad. It’s not surprising because they, as stage entertainers, could truly delight the public with their love hits and novelty songs as well as their jokes that would always bring the house down.

SCHEDULES. Look at their confirmed bookings: Tonight in Sogod, Aug. 1 in Sibonga, Aug. 9-Sept. 27 in the US, Oct. 1 in Maslog, Danao City, Oct. 18-26 in Christchurch, New Zealand (Pistang Pilipino), Sept. 30 at Sto. Rosario parish and Oct. 17 in Aloguinsan.

PARTY. Next Monday, I shall update all of you regarding yesterday’s fun beach party of local musicians, bands, solo singers and other talents. It was organized by the Auctioned Band of Cebu.

CHEERS. On a personal note, allow me to greet Bart “Boy” Kiamko, one of Cebu’s well-respected painters, as he marks his birth anniversary today. Boyax, cheers!
