SM Cinemas nationwide are currently showing Filipino films under the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
The festival aims to promote locally produced movies during a one-week exclusive screening in all cinemas nationwide. It started last Wednesday and ends on Tuesday.
Line-up of movies include 100 Tula Para Kay Stella starring Bela Padilla and JC Santos; Bar Boys with Carlo Aquino, Rocco Nacino and Enzo Pineda; Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B starring Ryza Cenon and Martin del Rosario; action-thriller AWOL starring Gerald Anderson and Diane Medina; mystery-thriller Birdshot with Mary Joy Apostol.
PPP also features Hamog with Zaijian Jaranilla and Therese Malvar; Paglipay starring Garry Cabalic and Anna Luna; award-winning Cebuano film Patay na si Hesus with Jaclyn Jose, Chai Fonacier and Melde Montañez; Pauwi Na starring Bembol Roco and Cherry Pie Picache; Salvage with Jessy Mendiola and JC de Vera; Star na Si Van Damme Stallone with Candy Pangilinan and Acey Aguilar and Trapiko starring Albie Casiño, Joseph Marco and Kylie Padilla.
