THE MNL48 registration and audition tour successfully catered to hundreds of charming and talented young ladies in Luzon when it kicked off last Oct. 14. After the previous accomplished events, the search for the first generation members of the newest idol group in the country will soon fly to the Visayas.
The registration and audition tour was launched at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, Cainta last Oct. 14 and 15 and was attended by ecstatic applicants and supporters who were all excited for the much-awaited idol search. Succeeding tours receiving overwhelming support from both fans and hopefuls were held successfully at Far Eastern University last Oct. 19, Starmall, Alabang last Oct. 20 and 21, LRT Legarda last Oct. 25, Immaculate Conception at Sta. Maria Bulacan last Oct. 26, Intramuros, Manila last Oct. 27 and Tutuban Mall last Nov. 4.
Now that the Luzon tour has finally wrapped up its last leg at Batangas State University last Nov. 6, girls between 15 to 20 years old from the Visayas are all set to showcase their talent and represent their cities as MNL48 registration and audition tour visits Iloilo City on Nov. 10, 11, 12 and 13 and Cebu City on Nov. 18 and 19.
The MNL48 idol search will soon air on ABS-CBN’s noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” as its newest segment this coming 2018. Aspiring members should start campaigning and gathering supporters because there will be no panel of judges. To vote, fans should register as supporters through the MNL48 website and mobile app and “Like” an unlimited number of applicants who they think should be part of the biggest idol group to hit Philippine entertainment.
MNL48 is the Filipino version of AKB48, the highest-selling and phenomenal all-female idol group that started in Akihabara, Japan. AKB48 has formed sister groups across Asia namely Jakarta, Bangkok, and Taipei. Now, Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. has partnered with ABS-CBN to create the first generation of idols in the country. The competition will air on the multi-awarded noontime show, “It’s Showtime!” in 2018. The show will highlight some of the world-class talent of young girls ages 15 to 20 years old. (PR)
