FOR sure, mall rats like me mourned what happened to Ayala Center Cebu after the fire that razed the Metro Ayala section. Compared to the other malls in the city and the metropolis, Ayala Center Cebu is closest to my residence.
Anyway, I hope the mall will reopen before the Pista Senyor (the Metro Ayala portion will reportedly be demolished to give way to a new structure) or at the soonest possible time.
Almost everywhere one can hear the Sinulog jingle being played. We just hope and pray that with the blessing of the Holy Child, all the activities will be peaceful and successful. Pit Senyor!
As of this writing, I still have to watch the top-grossing films of the recent Metro Manila Film Festival. I always make it a point to watch those that are said to be in the tail end revenue-wise, confident that the top grossers will enjoy longer exhibition periods.
If worse comes to worst, I’ll have to contend myself with Star Cinema’s next offering, “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes,” top billed by two talented actresses, Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban. The trailer promises a fun-filled viewing and is slated for showing this month.
It was evident that promo diva Josie Pereyra was well loved not only by family members but also by the entertainment community in general. In her recent birthday, the number of guests in her party held at Bai Hotel reportedly swelled to twice the number of expected guests.
