THE Gotianun family, founder of Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI), said on Saturday they will continue to bring in more investments to Cebu.
FLI chairman emeritus Andrew Gotianun Sr. said its flagship development, Citta di Mare at the South Road Properties, marked not only the family’s homecoming but also FLI’s.

FLI is a family corporation owned by Cebuanos whose diverse property portfolio caters to all markets - from homes to communities, towns, retail and commercial establishments, offices and business parks, condominiums and leisure developments.
Gotianun borrowed P300,000 as capital to build FLI using its Cebu properties as collateral. His business philosophy, anchored on hard work, integrity and focus, has helped the company succeed.
“Citta di Mare marks our biggest homecoming,” said Gotianun during the unveiling of FLI’s “prestigious and ambitious city by the sea development” at its own Crimson Resort and Spa in Mactan.
The development spans about 50.6 hectares and features a waterfront lifestyle strip and a residential resort town.
Gotianun said in his speech that Cebu is one of the most attractive investment destinations in the country, with its people as the most important resources.
“Cebu has the most innovative and competitive people in the Philippines,” he said.
He said the city’s human resources would help drive the Cebu to become one of the most outstanding cities in the country.
He said FLI’s recent development is only the beginning of more developments for the company in Cebu.
FLI earlier reported that it will build more business process outsourcing (BPO) offices in Cebu.
FLI is the developer behind some of the country’s top properties, including The Beaufort at the Bonifacio Global City PBCOM Tower; Festival Supermall and Northgate Cyberzone in Alabang; and Grand Cenia, One Oasis and Corona del Mar in Cebu.
FLI has assets of P165.59 billion. It has developed over 2,000 hectares of land and more than 600,000 square meters of prime office, residential and retail spaces.
