‘View Cebu’ exhibit set on Friday

IN CELEBRATION of the declaration of Cebu City as Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) City of Culture, an exhibit will be held starting this Friday at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.
The exhibit runs until July 25.

With SM City Cebu as host, the event is organized together with the Cebu City Government and the Department of Trade and Industry.
It is also supported by Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu and Islands Souvenirs.
Dubbed “View Cebu,” the event will feature creative works in fashion, decorative lighting, furniture, home accessories and jewelry.
Two of today’s best fashion designers, Cary Santiago and Philip Rodriguez, will showcase their collections featuring an instinctive good taste for fashion.
Other exhibitors include Accessoria Inc., APY Cane Inc., Arden Classic Inc., Binibini by Janice Manor, Catalina Embroideries Inc., Classical Geometry Export Trading, Debbie Palao, Italkarat 18, Nature’s Legacy Eximport Inc., Obra Cebuana Inc., Pacific Traders and Manufacturing Corp., and Stonesets International Inc.
The title of Asean’s City of Culture is given to Cebu City in recognition of its creative industries, which received the respect and admiration of people around the world.
Such recognition enhances the image of Cebu, not only as a vacation spot that entices foreign tourists for its beautiful and historic sites, but also as an important design, arts and culture center in Southeast Asia.
One of the highlights in this Friday’s opening is the cultural presentation entitled Kasadya sa Sugbo which will be held at 5 p.m. at the mall’s north covered parking lot.
The presentation, which will be presented by the Cebu City Tourism Commission, will feature Cebuano songs and cultural dances from Cebu’s top performers.
