THE Spring Rain Global Consultancy Inc. will hold an appreciation dinner at 6 p.m. today at the Asian Hall of the Grand Convention Center with its board of advisers to honor and thank international Filipino tenor, Sal Malaki, for performing pro bono in a three-day philanthropic concert held last Dec. 2 to 4 in Cebu and Bohol.
The dinner also invites benefactors and beneficiaries for the turnover of the concert proceeds to the beneficiaries.
Performing in a homecoming concert in Cebu and Bohol last Dec. 2 and 4, accompanied by pianists Carmencita Ybud, Dr. Charito Pizarro and Rudolf Pelaez Golez, Malaki sang a medley of songs from broadway musicals, two arias, a few Visayan songs, a duet and some Christmas carols. He also shared his own beliefs to work for justice; of the need for children to be guided, cared and loved; of sharing Christmas blessings with children who have less in life and of how perfect a mother’s love is.
