WITH the primary intention of giving back to society during the holidays, Microsoft Philippines recently hosted its first MPN Volunteer Day, where the firm’s partners and employees celebrated with the children of Virlanie Foundation.
The foundation is one of Microsoft’s citizenship partners whose goal is to uplift the lives of the abandoned, abused and neglected street children of the Philippines.
Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) is a program of Microsoft that caters to different types of business partners, providing support and resources that can enable them to reach their full potential.
“Microsoft believes in the power of helping people, most especially during Christmas. Through the first MPN Volunteer Day, we are showing our support to the community by inviting the kids of Virlanie Foundation to celebrate a day filled with happiness, fun and excitement with the Microsoft family,” said Clarissa Segismundo, partner development and programs lead, Microsoft Philippines.
Around 30 children were invited for the celebration that was filled with activities such as Xbox and Kinect adventure stations, storytelling, face painting, and arts and crafts.
