THE Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) announced it is opening its doors once again to qualified students who may want to pursue their degrees under the Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) for school year 2012-2013.

ACSP will provide the students with financial assistance to help defray tuition and miscellaneous expenses, book requirements, and transportation needs. Scholars must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 85 percent and should make progress toward the degree being pursued.

The grant is renewable every semester.

The scholarship is open to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing degrees in accountancy, business/management, information technology and engineering.

The applicants will be selected based on the following criteria: academic performance, leadership abilities, awards and recognitions received, community involvement, recommendations, and through a personal essay.

Interested students will have until March 23 to apply for the scholarship program.
Announcement of those who pass the program is in May.

Interested students may obtain application forms online through the Aboitiz careers site at http://careers.aboitiz.com.

Applicants may also address their queries to Vianney Yap at the AEV Cebu office in Banilad or call (032) 411-1774.

In Manila, the applicants may call JC Akol at the AEV Makati office at (02) 793-2712.

Since 2008, ACSP has endeavored to inspire students to value, appreciate and make the most out of their education.
