Training ship from Korea docks in Cebu

THE Hanbada training ship of Korea Maritime University recently docked in Cebu International Port, North Reclamation Area, Cebu City, along with their students, professors, ship captains and crew.

They were welcomed by the officers of Cebu Korean Association led by its president, Kunho “Ken” Choi.

There were 90 third year students, who are on their ship training, and 40 others from the university composed of professors, ship crew and captains.

The purpose of the visit was to explore Cebu’s beautiful beaches and places, which they heard from their fellow Koreans who have visited Cebu.

The Han means only one and big in Korea.

The educational facilities are training bridge, training engine control room, lecture rooms, multimedia room, seminar room, reading room, cadet duty space and satellite Internet system.

The accomodation includes salon, conference room, cadet bedroom, cadet recreation
room, gymnasium, barber shop, shower room and sauna facilities.
