Endocrinologists joint meeting set-A A +A

THE American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Philippines will hold their 6th annual meeting and clinical congress on Aug. 9-12 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City.
Dubbed as “ENDOCS: Endocrinology, Nutrition, Diabetes, Osteoporosis: Controversies and Solutions,” this convention will also serve as the 4th joint meeting with the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE).
This international meeting promises to be of top scientific caliber as it also holds the “1st Meet the Mayo Clinic Professors Symposium” in the country, with renowned experts that include nutrition expert Dr. M. Molly McMahon; andrology expert Dr. Todd Nippoldt; Dr. Robert A. Wermers, who will discuss about bone metabolism disorders and AACE past president Dr. Hossein Gharib, recipient of the 1st Augusto D. Litonjua Distinguished Clinician Award to be presented this year.
The faculty from abroad also includes Drs. Richard Donnelly (United Kingdom), Kathleen Wyne (United States of America), John Vincent Flores (Singapore), Mark Evans (United Kingdom) and Yoshimitsu Yamasaki (Japan).
They are joined by renowned local experts like AACE Philippines president emeritus and adviser Dr. Augusto D. Litonjua and its past presidents Drs. Joy Arabelle Fontanilla and Ma. Honolina Gomez; former Department of Health and Department of Social Welfare and Development secretary Esperanza Cabral; Diabetes Phils. president Dr. Susan Yu-Gan; Drs. Richard Elwyn Fernando, Lynn Gomez, Marie Yvette Amante, May Sison, Bernardo Conde, Froilan De Leon, Rima Tan; and nutrition experts Gemma Dimaano and Sanirose Orbeta.
This year’s organizing committee is headed by congress chair and AACE Philippines president Gerry Tan.
