THE San Nicolas Elementary School (SNES) children’s choir recently copped the championship in the rhymes and jingles contest held at the Labangon Elementary School auditorium.
The choir bested 16 other contestants from Cebu City’s public elementary schools.
This annual contest is held every July, which is the Nutrition Month, to promote nutrition by eating vegetables. This year’s theme is “Pagkain ng gulay ay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain.”
The audience and the school officials were amazed by the children’s harmonious voicing and spectacular blending.
Liberato Lauronilla, district eight supervisor, congratulated the children for their laudable performance.
The choir is trained by Israel Rubin and choreographed by Brenda Villacorta, who at the same time composed the lyrics of the winning piece, entitled, MACKP + ay Kalusugan.
