CTU Moalboal campus alumni elect new officers

THE alumni of Cebu Technological University (CTU) Moalboal campus recently elected their officers for 2012-2014, and took their oath of office before Mayor Inocentes Cabaron.
The new set of officers of the CTU Moalboal Campus Alumni are Dr. Evangeline Villanueva, president; Nenita Pableo, vice president internal; Restituto Pableo Jr., vice president external; Dr. Rosario Bagsit, secretary internal; Clarasisa Yosores, secretary external; Frisco Canumay, treasurer internal; Ma. Manurcia Aquino, treasurer external; Lucia Gako, auditor internal; Jose Delgado, auditor external; Dr. Gilda Membrillos and Dr. Proserpina T. Dionaldo, PRO internal; and Maximo Limpag and Samuel Redoble, PRO external.
The board of directors are (for internal) Nilde Chabit, Jesus Ricardo Caliguid, Antonio Soliva, Arvin Divinagracia and Resty Cardona, and (for external) retired Col. Sabinano Pableo, Aida Caliguid, Remedios Fernandez, Elvira Gann and PO2 Irish Buena.
The alumni will hold a special general assembly on Sept. 9 at the campus covered court.
The CTU Moalboal campus was established as the Moalboal Provincial High School in 1948. In the 1960s, it was converted into the Moalboal Southern Cebu School of Fisheries. It was later elevated into the Moalboal College of Fisheries and then to the State College of Science and Technology-College of Fisheries.
With the efforts of CTU president Dr. Bonifacio Villanueva, the campus was finally granted university status to become what it is today-the CTU Moalboal campus. Villanueva is the husband of the alumni group’s president, Dr. Evangeline.
