THE Juanito I. King Foundation Inc. (JIKFI) through its mobile dental van project, jumpstarts 2013 with a series of dental missions
.
In partnership with the Rise Above Foundation, JIKFI provided free dental services to the Badjao community in Alaska, Barangay Mambaling and the residents of Sapangdaku, Barangay Guadalupe, both in Cebu City last month.
With new equipment and a team of dental crew, the mission was able to serve more than 700 beneficiaries.
Dental procedures, such as tooth restoration and extraction and oral prophylaxis, were offered to the beneficiaries to address their dental concerns.
The project has been catering to more than 21,000 beneficiaries yearly since 2003 using one mobile dental van.
This year, the foundation further increased its capacity to serve the community.
Second dental van
A second dental van, equipped with all the necessary equipment and dental crew, was commissioned.
With this accomplishment, the foundation is looking forward to providing free dental services to more people in cooperation with their partner companies and agencies for the rest of the year and beyond.
JIKFI is now accepting requests for dental missions to any point in Cebu City and the Cebu Province.
Interested parties may contact 415-8330 local 802 for more information and look for John, or visit JIKFI office, 2nd floor, Cebu Holdings Centre, Cebu Business Park, Mabolo, Cebu City.
