1T patients in San Fernando get free medical services

SOME 110 residents in Panadtaran, San Fernando received a pair of eyewear each when a medical mission Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Inc. (TCPI), organized recently, noted their eyesight problems.

The mission returned to Panadtaran since November 2009 when it first attended to 989 patients, this time, treating 1,114 residents, including 97 with dental cases and 80 others who availed of blood sugar testing.

Search for Model PNP Families launched

THE National Police Commission (Napolcom) launched this year’s search for Model Philippine National Police (PNP) Families.

Lawyer Zandro Oriol, Napolcom 7 information officer, said the award aims to emphasize the importance of strong ties of police officers to their families.

Citigym holds surgical mission

A TOTAL of 160 residents from Barangay Lahug, Cebu City benefited from the surgical mission organized recently by the 24-hour fitness center, Citigym.

The activity, which was held in partnership with the Junior Chamber International Zugbuana, Philippine College of Surgeons–CEVC, and the Cebu Doctors University Hospital-department of surgery, was Citigym’s way of giving back to the community. It was held at the Lahug Barangay Hall.

Philips donates P50T worth of bulbs to Lapu

THE Lapu-Lapu City Government recently received P50,000 worth of energy-saving bulbs from Philips.

In a ceremony, Philips chief executive officer Rico Gonzales led the turnover of the donated bulbs to Mayor Paz Radaza at the City Hall.

THE University of San Jose-Recoletos High School Alumni Class 1965 spent their pre-Holy Week bonding at the Dakak Resort in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte.

With “Creating Wonderful Moments Together…Adelante!” as its theme, the group led by Rudy T. Abellana had great moments together in their city tour to the different cultural and historical places, including a visit to Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s place of exile and his shrine, their lunch at Fishpond, a visit to Gloria’s Fantasyland, and the resort’s swimming pools and white sand beach.

Free talk on architecture set tomorrow

FILIPINO-AMERICAN architect Carlos Arnaiz, who is based in New York, will conduct a free talk on architecture tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the conference hall of SM City Cebu.

ABOUT 1,000 patients availed of the 2nd medical mission organized by the Cebu Queen City Lions Club held recently at the sports complex gym in Poblacion, Argao town, Cebu.

PNP holds medical, dental mission

AT LEAST 150 people benefited from the “Operation Tuli” and dental mission held recently at the Mandaue City Central Elementary School in Mandaue City.

Organized by the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police, there were 100 residents who availed of the dental mission and 55 boys, ages five to 12, underwent circumcision.

Ermita gets new building from Veco
