The next day Gilas and AIS fought to a 73-all draw with Chris Tiu scoring 20 and Slaughter making 13.
AIS is where most of the Australian men’s national team players come from.
The Canberra Gunners, a team in the South East Australia Basketball League, were the next victims of the Gilas squad, 101-84.
Next Gilas beat New South Wales Institute of Sports, 82-63, and the Sydney City Comets, 81-73.
