Lagman loses to RP No. 5

CEBUANO junior netter Jacob Lagman faltered in the 6th Leg of the Johnny Arcilla Tennis Circuit National Open at the Noah Tennis Club, Bacolod City and lost to to Philippines No. 5 Rolando Ruel Jr. in a neck-and-neck match 6-4, 6-3.

“It was not an easy win for Ruel since Jacob played a good match,” said Jacob’s mother Julie.

She added that playing against the top senior players in the country was “an honor and a good experience for Jacob.”

Julie added that the experience Jacob had in the tournament will prepare him for the Mitsubishi International Tennis Federation Tournament next week in Manila.
