Setting sights for O’ Twelve!
Saturday, December 31, 2011
PUTTING fears of the apocalyptic kind aside, a lot of people have zoned in on what they want and must do this coming year. Sure, resolutions have been done to death—quit smoking, reduce drinking, invite more friends on Facebook etc.—but it’s another thing when you’ve always desired to do something your entire life, and finally set some date to do it. Skydiving maybe? You know, those sorts of things.
Check out what these people have to share about that one thing they’re targeting for 2012—now if fears of an impending apocalypse had anything to do with it, we don’t know. One thing’s for sure: we all should keep living life like there’s no tomorrow.

“The last two years has been a roller coaster ride for me after I decided to quit my job and explore the world of entrepreneurship. This is not the first time I made this move, and the previous attempts were unsuccessful. So far this has been the longest, and I intend to make it more.
“I have to admit, I had doubts and at certain times, I was about to quit. But along the way I was fortunate enough to meet different people who expressed their encouragement and shared inspiration for me to continue my journey. 2012 will hold no easy pass for me and just like in the previous years, I will have to face my fears and uphold my desire to conquer this new territory. Tuning and focus of my objective will be my strategy for the coming year.”

“The one thing I both want and must do this 2012 is to graduate and have my degree, which is Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and then everything else will surely follow. They say you get to experience the real world after graduation, but I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be able to explore my capabilities in different settings: school and work.
“Being a working student, I have learned and proven a lot that a regular student can’t. Each day has been a very productive one for me. I manage to never quit school despite the fact that I already have a regular job as a host for MagTV. Instead, I turned it into my motivation. It would be such a big relief for me to finish what I have started and worked hard for. And I will embrace the next chapter of my life and what’s in store (for me).”

“I would really like to start traveling. Traveling opens your perspectives wider. I wish I could’ve done it earlier, but it’s never too late to try. Maybe when my film gets to be selected for a film festival abroad, I guess that’s going to be my starting point—been dreaming of touring Asia.”

“Laugh and spend more quality time with my boys (hubby Jason and son Ethan)! 2011 has been a very busy year for me due to my work as a morning show host of Buena Mano Balita and the demands of my responsibility as a senior marketing officer of Pagcor. Looking back, I believe that what kept me sane was the laughter and bonding moments I had with my family. So I am in a way giving back what they have unselfishly shared to me.
“I’m hoping that this year will be an opportunity to travel more with my family. Aside from this, I would love to catch up on my reading, learn a new skill and meet new friends. This year is very promising for all of us: let us live, laugh and love to the fullest.”
