Two empty bottles

WHITNEY Houston’s top ten songs practically summarized how much she was in love. The singer could have found the kind of love she yearned for had she listened well to the lyrics of the Greatest Love of All. How could Houston have missed it, she having been in the choir of New Hope Baptist Church?
Then she sang How Will I Know. Whitney attended the Roman Catholic Mount Saint Dominic Academy. I am certain in one of her classes she was told that drugs do irreparable damage to the brain. Early in her singing career her wishes were probably simple just wanting to dance… I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

When Houston was at the top of her singing career her thoughts were titillated with All The Men That I Need. However Whitney ended up with R&B singer Bobby Brown whom Whitney met at the 1989 Soul Train Music Awards. They dated for three years. They got married in 1992. Houston’s songs… I’m Your Baby Tonight, Saving All My Love For You, and I Will Always Love You summed up her feelings for Bobby Brown. According to About.com, their relationship was beset with tabloid headlines and Bobby Brown’s run-ins with the law. The pair separated in September 2006. At this point, Whitney must have asked…Where Do Broken Hearts Go?
Didn’t We Almost Have It All is a fitting song for someone who had ten of her songs on the top charts. Did she have it all? She also worked as a model and appeared on the cover of Seventeen Magazine. About.com reported that Clive Davis signed Houston to a recording contract with Artista record in 1983 after seeing her performance in a nightclub. In the early 1990’s Whitney went into acting, co-starring with Kevin Costner in 1992’s The Bodyguard.
So Emotional perhaps? In addition to the above information, the said website reported there were rumors of drug use, missed performances and late appearances, all tarnishing Whitney’s public image. In late 2011 reports surfaced that Whitney was planning to produce and star on a remake of the 1976 film Sparkle. However, she was found dead Feb. 11, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California just hours before the annual Clive Davis pre-Grammy awards party.
