‘Biritera’ plays beautiful melodies on primetime

BIRITERA, GMA-7’s latest top-rating drama, is topbilled by Dennis Trillo, Glaiza de Castro, and features the Network’s newest child star Roseanne Magan. The program tells of a young singer’s quest towards achieving her dream, while discovering her roots.
Immediately on its pilot week (Feb. 6 to 10), Biritera hit high notes as revealed by its high ratings according to the industry’s more trusted ratings service provider, Nielsen Television Audience Measurement.
The Kapuso weeknight drama further increased its lead on its second week, indicating the audiences’ sustained fascination and intrigue with the developments in the story.
In such a short span of time, Biritera proved its ability to capture the audience and is poised to continue to do so with its unique combination of drama and music. This success, more than anything else, gives the cast especially young Roseanne, who openly cites her family’s difficult financial situation as her motivation for joining showbiz, the inspiration to be better at their craft.
Biritera is made for television by the GMA Drama Group and is directed by award-winning filmmaker Maryo J. delos Reyes, the director behind the hugely successful drama Munting Heredera.
