Nationwide search on for ‘Mutya ng Pilipinas’ applicants

THE longest-running national beauty search in the country is now on its 44th year.
Mutya ng Pilipinas promises to continue the legacy of introducing innovations to the beauty pageant scene in the Philippines. The pageant is one of the first to actively recognize the Filipino ancestry of overseas-based women by accepting candidates from Filipino communities abroad.
As a testament to its advocacy of “beauty tourism,” the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant has, in the recent years, held its grand coronation ceremonies in some of the country’s majestic to urist destinations, which includes Davao, Subic, Aurora and Puerto Princesa to name a few.
This year, the pageant events will be at the “Queen City of the South,” Metro Cebu for the swimsuit competition and grand final and proclamation will be in Metro Manila.
The Mutya ng Pilipinas winners are sent to elite international competitions such as the Miss Asia Pacific, Miss Tourism International and Miss Intercontinental pageants.
Applicants should be natural born female, single, without a child and has never been married. At least 18-25 years of age with a minimum height of 5’5”. She must at least be a high school graduate, possessing a beautiful face and figure. She must also possess an outstanding personality, plus be smart and witty.
The applicant must be of Filipino ancestry, with at least one grandparent in the direct paternal or maternal line possessing Filipino citizenship.
The regional screenings have been done in Bacolod City on June 12–13, and should continue at Iloilo City on June 14-15, Cebu City on June 16–17, Cagayan De Oro on June 23, Davao City on June 24, and June 30, July 1, 7, 8 in Metro Manila.
