Espina: ‘Fun run’ and ‘Titanic’-A A +A

INDEED, it is “More Fun in Cebu” and it comes in many ways.
When we were thinking of integrating sports tourism during Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Cebu Business Month tourism events for this year, Joy Polloso and I thought of a “bikathon” race, but time was against us. So, Cherry Callelero, Tess Chan and I thought that a fun run would be jollier. So, it worked with more than 800 participants last June 16 at Ayala Center Cebu. Tireless Cebu never runs out of novel ideas.
Come Saturday, July 7, 7 p.m. at the Cebu City Marriot Hotel, the American Chamber, recaptures the 100 years of Titanic in a more positive note in colorful setting, entertainment galore; songs and dances featuring a special guest performer, the Renaissance Band.
The International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM-Cebu) opened recently at IT Park. The “OnThe Crossroad of Fashion and Music” was a crowd drawer also at Ayala Center Cebu.
SM Consolacion paved the way for countryside malling which tourists can look forward to.
Civic group We Care May celebrants Pam Mateo, Ester Ong, Gary Munoz and June celebrants Ben Yapjoco and Eking Benedicto, added a happy note that this year, the group will have four high school scholars at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) high school. The USJ-R president, Fr. Enrico Peter Silab, OAR, celebrated his birthday last Thursday, June 28.
