The total look-A A +A

A TOTAL look is the trademark of Janice Minor’s Binibini, a fashion line that features not only dresses but also accessories, from head to toe.
This was very evident in her latest fashion show that marked the opening of JCentre Fashion Store where she and her friends and their children served as models.
The show featured printed maxi dresses that flowed with the models’ glide, fit for afternoon teas as well as evening soirees.
There were also short dresses and color-keyed blouse and skirts outfits, as well as pants in prints and solids, both for children and adults.
The Binibini shoes in flats and sandals matched the children’s clothes, as did the wedgies for their mothers. What boggled the onlookers were some of the heel-less shoes worn with nonchalance by Janice Minor and some of her friends!
The models included Janice herself and daughter Alice, Agnes and Allison Huettel, Emily and Daisy Wilson, Merci and Gabby Abellana, Megan, Tippi and Phoebe Smith, Tamsin and Ellana Booth. The Binibini outfits suited them well. No wonder they seemed to have such fun sashaying on the makeshift ramp.
That is one mission of fashion—to give the wearer some fun. On the other hand, the garment has to highlight the best side of the wearer, and this is where the fashion line succeeds.
Any woman (the Tagalog word is binibini) can develop her trademark style—she could go after K-pop styles or go for jungle prints or even tribal note in her jewelry and shirts—to show off the totality of her personality.
