MORE than 500 pupils of NPC-Colon Elementary School in the City of Naga, Cebu received free toothbrush and toothpaste kits from Kepco-Salcon Power Corp. (KSPC) as part of the campaign to promote oral hygiene among school children.
KSPC, the owner of the 200-megawatt Cebu power plant in Barangay Colon, City of Naga, has partnered with the Department of Health and the local health office for the “Isang Milyong Sipilyo” program.
Dr. Ethel Uy, City of Naga dentist, and school principal Maribel Pantorilla thanked the company for supporting the program for the past three years.
The distribution activity was conducted recently at the school grounds.
Aside from providing the much needed additional power supply in the Visayas, KSPC also implements a social development plan and corporate social responsibility programs in its host communities that are focused on health, education, environment and livelihood.
Among its projects are medical missions, doctors’ visits, Operation Tuli (circumcision), feeding program, vitamins distribution, and tree-planting and coastal clean-up activities.
