AT LEAST once in our shopping and leisure life, we have been to a Metro Gaisano (MG) Department Store and Supermarket. First along Colon St. in the 1980s, then at Ayala Center Cebu (anchor store) in the 1990s, then from the ‘90s to the millennium 2000s several more—Super Metro, Pacific Mall, thence to the Metropolis!
Metro Manila Market, Market at Bonifacio Global City and the latest and ultra-modern Metro Alabang at Alabang Town Center a subsidiary of the Ayala Group. We, Cebuanos ,were a privileged few to attend this gargantuan private celebration, a day before the grand opening.
Muntinlupa City Officialdom, Ayala VIPs, and the four dynamic Gaisano siblings, engineers Frank and Jack, Dr. Edward, and only sister, Margaret G. Ang, were on hand to welcome one and all, and bask in pride and glory at another link to their chain of retail outlets. First Cebu, then parts of Visayas, Metro Manila and even Luzon! Indeed, the Metro Group is going places, by leaps and bounds.
The cavernous interiors of the multi-storey MG store features an inviting color palette with adequate lighting and comfort. There are two elevators per floor, strategically located escalators and “walkalators,” with 200 slots for basement parking.
MG stores sport a distinctive new look, thanks to a US Design Group as well as a team of architects and designers from top Retail Centers in the country.
Last but not least, prices? Highly competitive, so drop by!
