WARMING the soul while empowering the mind, AboitizLand’s commercial developments Pueblo Verde and The Persimmon Plus are hosting various events to increase breast cancer awareness and raise funds.
The Commercial Leasing and Management Team opens the Pink Room on Monday, Oct. 1, at the iMEZ in Pueblo Verde, Mactan Export Zone II, Lapulapu City, as the opening salvo of its observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Pink Room is open to everyone interested to learn more about breast cancer, the top cancer of the Philippines. Volunteer physicians serve at these facilities giving advice on early detection and tips on breast self-examination.
Every Thursday morning, beginning Oct. 13, a free public forum and clinical breast examination will be held at The Persimmon Plus. The same services will be brought to Pueblo Verde every Thursday afternoon.
Simultaneously, ICanServe Foundation will also be conducting a forum on what to be considered the number one cancer in the Philippines.
The ICancervive Pink Bazaar, with a collection of lovable pink items and more – food, fashion accessories, home accessories – runs from Oct. 13 to 20 at the Pueblo Verde Grounds. Part of the proceeds of the bazaar will be endorsed to the ICanServe Foundation.
To cap the month-long activities, pink singlets will zoom from the Mactan Benito Ebuen Airbase to Pueblo Verde in AboitizLand’s 3rd Pink Run on Oct. 20. The Pink Run culminates in a public event called the Pink Fest Party at the iMEZ in Pueblo Verde.
Proceeds of the race will go to the Eduardo J. Aboitiz Cancer Foundation through ICanServe Foundation.
