A MASQUERADE Ball at the Quest Hotel marked the holiday celebration of Korean Air where the evening’s “must have” accessory was a mask. It was a colorful and fun affair with lots of games and prizes. Man of the hour was Korean Air (KE) regional manager Hyung Soo Kim who was all smiles as he thanked his guests (people from the travel industry) for their all-out support to the airline. Just as gracious was his charming wife Mrs. Kim.

Entertainment included two skits from the Korean Air staff who all showed a lot of talent. And there was young singing talent Hannah Momongan, daughter of Korean Air passenger sales executive Ann Momongan who dished out a song. Mom beamed with pride.
Happiest faces at the party were “Best in Costume” winner Sheila Colmenares of Leisure Travel who came as the Phantom of the Opera complete with mustache, mask and cape; and Paquito Chua of Worldwide Travel who was the “winningest” guy of the night during the raffling off of prizes.

The grand reopening of Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu was a “hip and happening” affair that brought together guests from the different sectors of society. The completely transformed lobby wowed the visitors and they were all the more impressed when they reached the Ibiza Beach Club where the celebration was held. Looking pleased and happy was hotel owner Manny Osmeña who with hotel GM Knuth Kiefer played the perfect hosts.
Program emcees were the husband-and-wife team of Anthony and Maricel Pangilinan.
Resident international DJ Toni M kept the music going while Mexican chef Johnny Rodriguez took care of the cocktail spread.
The hotel relaunch marked the beginning of a new and exciting era for the popular Mactan landmark.

It is all systems go for the renovation of the City Sports Club Cebu (CSCC) at the Cebu Business Park. Dubbed as “an urban resort in the middle of one of Cebu’s most progressive business districts,” CSCC has partnered with Ayala Land Inc. to give the club “a modern and breezy look.” The club facilities (gym, meeting rooms, business center, etc.) are up for upgrading. A new dining outlet, Bistro88, opened its doors last October. It is an Asian-Mediterranean restaurant by day till 9:30 p.m. when its lights dim and the bar starts serving Asian-inspired cocktails. Holding court at the bistro is executive chef Brian Bersonda.
