THE Alliance Francaise de Cebu announced it is offering a complete yoga experience in their newly inaugurated location in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
One will enjoy a soothing yoga session, which started last Jan. 12, with New York French yoga instructor Pascale Wettstein, who recently moved to the Philippines.
Alliance Francaise de Cebu will be offering a little yet comprehensive workshop of meditation, relaxation and exercise, with each session concluded with gastronomic healthy vegetarian food served by La Maison Rose Restaurant.
Vegetarian dishes include asparagus soups, shrimp-mango mojitos, spaghetti pesto, green steak, tofu and desserts, like cherry tomato tatin and green tea-pomelo cream.
The yoga sessions at Alliance Francaise de Cebu are designed for people of all walks of life.
Separate classes for adults and children are available.
Through stories and games, children learn yoga postures and breathing techniques that will help them increase flexibility, balance and concentration.
The creative and non-competitive approach Pascale offers also helps participants gain self-confidence. One does not have to be flexible like a gymnast and neither one has to be in top shape or a vegetarian. Individuals with different physical and health conditions are also more than welcome to experience its dynamic and holistic effects.
The yoga experience offered by Alliance Francaise de Cebu is tailored for all to enjoy and benefit.
Yoga aims for the union of the body and the mind through the mastery of breathing and different postures. Physical benefits include fitness, improved coordination and endurance, better sleep, strengthened immune system, decrease of pains and many more.
Psychological benefits include clarity of mind, stronger focus and concentration, peace of mind and an overall decrease of negativity. It is because of this holistic approach that many individuals develop a sincere passion for yoga.
