THEY certainly go together! It was a blissful wedding for Honey (Ocariza) and Harvey Inahid at the Sacred Heart Church officiated by Fr. Amado Emmanuel Bolillia, OAR and Fr. Rudy Ibale, MSC. The couple both love music and their professions, Harvey, an English teacher at University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), and Honey, a banker.

The church wedding had for sponsors: Dr. Antonio Flores and Dr. Mila C. Espina; Dr. Rey Rosada and Dr. Percia Leyte; engineer Vilmer and Luzviminda Viazon; engineer Cirilo and Milagros Ocariza; Bernard and Margie Visitacion; Engr. Rodrigo and Josephine Jabellana; Engr. Rex and Prudencia Imbong; Judge Cornelio Jaca and Virginia Baguio; Abraham and Melinda Desamparado; Jerome Jaca and Joynet Veloso; Dr. Lee Arboleda and Hermie Oblaza; Eleuterio and Erlinda Solana; Benigno and Vilma Alcaraz; Engr. Ernesto Repollo and Eva Tuico.
The reception was filled with songs and dances. Well, what does one expect? Harvey is a singer and a thespian, which make him a passionate educator. He was an ardent USJ-R working student; had a brief teaching stint at Speechcom before he became a regular English teacher at the arts and sciences, USJ-R.
Snow White and Tableau
And speaking of musicales, the USJ-R high school—through the initiatives of principal Rose Enario and seasoned mentor Nellie Dosado, under the stewardship of Fr. Amado Emmanuel Bolilla—will stage a modern version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, based on an adaptation of this writer. This is s sentimental remake of the first play I directed at USJ-R in 1964 where Rosalinda Amadora was Snow White; Raul Reynes as the Prince and Winnie Brennan as the Queen Stepmother.
Among the dwarfs were Alan Rabaya, Ed Abores and Pedro Aguilar, among others, under the leadership of then principal, the late Aniano Abellano. Choreographer then was Dolly Cue who is now in Australia.
Meanwhile, the Founder’s Day of Benedicto College in February will feature a musical tableau honoring Ambassador Francisco Benedicto. Faculty members and students led by education head Jun Visaya and artist Nick Ampatin are expected to treat guests with sterling performances.
