PROMO diva Josie Pereyra proudly announced that the third installment of the John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo series under Star Cinema is coming up on Black Saturday, March 30. Coming out after A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life, the movie It Takes A Man and A Woman is about the love story of Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas, John Lloyd’s and Sarah’s characters in the film.
Will they end up in each other’s arms this time? That’s for moviegoers to find out.
The duo is supported by Joross Gamboa, Gio Alvarez, Matet de Leon, Al Tantay, Irma Adlawan, Guji Lorenzana and Dante Rivero. Cathy Garcia-Molina is again at the helm.
By the way, Isabelle Daza, the lovely daughter of 1969 Miss Universe Gloria Diaz, is introduced in this movie. Isabelle admits getting star struck by Lloydie not only because of his good looks but also of his good traits including being friendly to everyone on the set.
Egged to join Bb. Pilipinas year after year, Isabelle says she’ll be joining (finally!) next year. There are speculations on why she constantly postpones her participation in the pageant: her fear of losing. Being the daughter of an international beauty queen can also be a disadvantage.

Although we had been experiencing hot days and nights for weeks now, it’s just been recently that Pag-asa declared the official start of the dry season.
Fashionistas often take this opportunity to show off their well-sculpted bodies, which is the result of hours of sweating out in or out of the gym, their choices of comfortable get-ups and everything.
Of course, the crowning glory, the hair, should not be left out. Beauty expert Jun Esma says that for males, the barber cut is the choice for most gentlemen as this gives a cooling effect and is also easy to manage.
Streaks and highlights here and there add dramatic effects. The bob cut (or any short, layered cut) is usually the female counterpart. However, long, rebonded tresses, which is still in demand, can still be fashionable if the wearer only knows how to manage it like having it in a ponytail, curled (using the right materials) or using the right hair accessories.
The in vogue colors are still copper, golden copper combination, the low tones. So if you plan to go elsewhere during the Holy Week or thereafter, be sure to have the look that boosts your confidence.

The E-Group had an informal chat last Saturday with four of the six GMA 7 contract stars who visited Cebu last weekend, namely Kris Lawrence, Rocco Nacino, Mike Tan and Carla Abellana. GMA 7 corporate communications girl, Irish Joy was with the group.
Kris was a picture of a proud father as he shared that his six-month-old daughter with Katrina Halili now says “mama,” “yaya” but the first spoken word was “dada.”
He also shared that while he was the only one who can make the tot smile when the latter is not in the mood, she acted as if she did not recognize him anymore upon his return home after being away for successive out-of-town shows followed by a brief stays in the States.
This early, the little darling already shows love for music as she easily doses off when violin music is played although, according to Kris, she also sleeps even with the usual, “boring” humming of “la-la-la,” and not a single original song from his album.
Kris proudly said that he composed a song for the little girl, which is included in his new album scheduled to be released next month. The singer divulged that he and Katrina often joke about getting married but not soon.
If ever, he wants it to happen when their daughter can already assume the role of a flower girl when that time comes. “Parang nakakatuwa,” he smilingly added.
His new album contains 13 songs, all original, as part of the so-called OPM Movement, which was inspired and urged by Ogie Alcasid to revitalize original Pilipino music and the musicians themselves side by side with foreign composers some of whose compositions we patronize even if we do not understand the language being used.

Entrepreneur and TV actress Aida “Angging” Patana informed me that a new teleseries will soon start on TV5 (Channel 21 in Cebu) and this will have the likes of Gabby Concepcion, Jeric Raval, William Martinez, Isabel Granada and Jao Mapa, among others, in the cast.
Of course, Cebu talents will portray the main characters as part of Aida’s agenda to discover and launch local talents. For the project launching, a motorcade will be held from Parkmall to Pino Restaurant in Lahug (where a presscon will be held) on Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. It’s a date.
