Daimler AG establishes Philippine office in Cebu-A A +A

ANOTHER milestone for the Cebu business community is the establishment of the first Philippine office and location, Daimler Group Services Philippines, Inc., by the German automotive and trucks manufacturer, Daimler AG. The subsidiary was established to deliver state of the art and optimal Finance and Accounting services to subsidiaries of the Group, in Africa and Asia Pacific, as well as accounting support for Europe and Germany.
As a Shared Service Center of the Group, DGSP will primarily serve wholesale Mercedes Benz companies but will likewise support as well the Group’s diverse product portfolio, including car and truck brands like Smart Electric Cars, Mitsubishi Fuso, Freightliner and Western Star, Thomasbuilt Buses and MB Vans and Buses.
DGSP operations commenced officially on the 16th of April, 2012 with the first back-office support for European Mercedes Benz companies. To date, it has 120 employees and is still constantly ramping up its workforce for further processes to be transferred here. As a Finance and Accounting entity, it is currently welcoming applicants and finance professionals interested in pursuing a gainful and rewarding
career with one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturer.
DGSP formally launches its presence in Cebu with an office inauguration and ribbon Cutting Ceremony on the 7th of September, 2014; in its new offices at the 9th and 10th floors of the Creativo IT Building at the Cebu Business Park. Government officials, members of the German diplomatic community, business leaders and representatives of the academe are expected to grace the ceremonies.
