Stakeholders’ consultation workshop set-A A +A

STAKEHOLDERS from the Visayas and Mindanao of the CGIAR Research Program on Aquatic Agricultural Systems (AAS) will converge in Cebu City for the Stakeholders Consultation Workshop starting today, Sept. 18 to 20.
Led by WorldFish, the workshop aims to develop a shared vision of success for the AAS program, share experiences on the engagement process and discuss early outcomes.
Undersecretary Patrociño Jude H. Esguerra III of the National Anti-Poverty Commission will keynote the workshop and will discuss “All-inclusive Economic Growth and Poverty Alleviation Strategies in the Philippines.”
Senior Scientist Ranjitha Puskur of WorldFish will share the developments from other countries implementing the AAS.
Through her presentation on “CRP Program on AAS: Global Perspectives, Lessons Learned and Targeted Development Outcomes,” Dr. Puskur will connect local stakeholders to the AAS program worldwide.
WorldFish regional director for Asia and Philippine country office Maripaz L. Perez will welcome the workshop participants composed of the barangay captains from the target sites, representatives of state colleges and universities and regional directors of selected offices of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Department of Science and Technology and the National Economic and Development Authority.
