IT'S finally here in Cebu: a thousand flavors in one place, the Fuzion Gourmet.
The restaurant’s original concept and idea is being realized by the owner, Divina Veloso-Couvreaux, whose roots come from Leyte. She has traveled to different parts of the world and settled in Europe particularly in Paris, France, where she developed her love and passion for cooking. She became known for her food innovations and later on became an in demand consultant in several gourmets here and abroad. After several years of helping develop the gourmet industry here in the Philippines, Veloso-Couvreaux decided to start her own café, deli and restaurant.
Fuzion Gourmet had a soft opening on July 20. The restaurant has a wide array of good food from different countries at very affordable prices. Diners can have a full meal starting at P100, including the drinks.
The restaurant has a wide selection of wines, different pastas, cakes, deli products such as Hungarian sausages, different kinds of hams and cheeses from all over the world, not to mention locally produced cheeses from Davao. It also serves wrap sandwiches from different parts of the world, assorted fresh raviolis and specialties from France. Students from nearby schools like the house specialties such as the crispy chicken, back ribs and pork barbeque meal. Foreign customers often order deli products, sandwiches, burgers and meals such as the chicken tajine, seared tuna, Fuzion burger, Roma burger, grilled lamb chops, turkey fillet, seabass and bacalao ragout, just to name a few.
Rather than read about it, why not drop by the restaurant. It is located at Mango Square Mall, Gen. Maxilom Ave., Cebu City. It is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays to Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. (PR)
